How do I add a specifications table to my Shopify product pages?
Install AppX, then follow four steps: create a spec table, add rows, assign it to products, and add the AppX app block to your product page in Shopify’s theme editor. Most merchants are live in under 10 minutes.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Everything is point-and-click: pick a metafield or Shopify field from a dropdown, or type your own text. No Liquid, no JSON, no developer.
Will it work with my Shopify theme?
Yes, if your theme is an Online Store 2.0 theme, free or paid. AppX adds the table as an app block that you place in Shopify’s theme editor, with no theme code to edit, and by default it uses your theme’s fonts and colors. Older “vintage” themes don’t support app blocks, so AppX can’t be added to them.
Does AppX slow down my store?
No. The spec table on your storefront is plain HTML and CSS. AppX loads no JavaScript libraries or jQuery on your storefront, so there’s no heavy script to slow your product pages down.
Can AppX use my product metafields?
Yes. Each row can show a metafield, a native Shopify field (vendor, type, SKU, price, weight, inventory, and more), or text you type. If a product has no value for a row, that row is hidden automatically, so there are no blank cells.

Yes. Build a table like “Laptop Specs” once and assign it to one product, selected products, or your entire store.
Can I paste specs from a spreadsheet or another website?
Yes. Copy rows from a spreadsheet, or a table on a web page such as a supplier’s product page, and AppX turns it into editable rows instantly. Pasting from Word documents or PDFs doesn’t work well, so for those, add the rows manually.
Can I change how the table looks?
Yes. Choose from five styles (Modern, Classic, Minimal, Multi-column, Accordion) and six accent colors, with fine controls for colors, typography, density, and dividers. You can also group rows under section headings such as “Display” or “Battery”.
Do spec tables work on mobile?
Yes. Tables are fully responsive, and you choose how they look on phones: keep the same two-column layout as on desktop, or stack each label above its value. Both use proper table markup and keyboard navigation for accessibility.
